The CONCEPT of Clear Organics bioactive organic skincare started in 2012 by a cosmetic medical practitioner, Dr Louisa Yim. She wanted to develop a pure certified organics skincare range suitable for patients with sensitive skin and for those undergoing medical treatments.
Dr Louisa Yim is the Owner and Director of Total Bliss Beauty Therapy, Makeup Artistry & Mediaesthetics located in Greensborough, Victoria. She graduated from The University of Melbourne with Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2002. With a sound medical background in general practice, women’s health, antenatal care and cosmetic medicine, Dr Louisa formulated and custom made Clear Organics with a contract manufacturer based in NSW, Australia.
Infertility affects 1 in 6 couples in Australia. Dr Louisa Yim has personally been affected by infertility secondary to endometriosis and adenomysis. She and her husband have spent five years undergoing an emotional rollercoaster of fertility treatments. During her quest to starting a family, Dr Louisa Yim has made a lot of life changing decisions including a change of workplace and adopting a healthier lifestyle.
She struggled to find a skincare that was suitable to be used during medical fertility treatments. Most of the skincare on the market contain ingredients that disrupt the endocrine system, and thus affecting fertility or any other medical treatments. In addition, some ingredients were considered to be harmful for foetal development. Whilst receiving IVF treatments, Dr Louisa Yim recognized the benefits of healthy eating and skincare with a certified organic origin. Whilst there is a growing range of active skincare with innovative skin technology, the trade-off is the organic purity of the raw materials. There are a lot of products on the market with the organic label. However, if you look closely, only a few base materials are organic, usually denoted by "*". There are also many products where the brands and prices are different, but with similar core ingredients.
To be true to the organic nature, Dr Louisa Yim has put her skincare range under intense formulation. There are nine products in Clear Organics bioactive range, all of which have been accredited by Australian Certified Organic (Accredited), Australian Made (Accredited), Cruelty Free (Accredited) and Safe Cosmetics Australia (Accredited).
In November 2014, Dr Louisa Yim and her husband were gifted with their first IVF miracle with a beautiful daughter. In late 2016, they were blessed to have a second IVF miracle with an adorable son. Dr Louisa and her husband were over-joyed by this miracle pigeon pair. Thanks to the Monash IVF specialist team and her fertility specialist, Dr Lynn Burmeister. For those who are interested in finding out more about IVF and fertility journey, Dr Louisa Yim has published her very first award-winning memoir under the pen name Dr Sarah Lnyy. Moving beyond the unspoken grief - a doctor's memoir of her own iVF journey. It is available in two languages (English and simplied Chinese), on sale via Amazon US, AUS and China.
